With up to 6.6 tonnes of payload and maneuverable design, the MAN eTGL electric truck is perfect for food chains and retailers looking for eco-friendly solutions. Read ahead…
MAN has expanded its electric truck lineup with the launch of the eTGL electric truck, a lightweight electric vehicle designed for urban logistics and light distribution.
Following the success of the eTGX for long-distance transport and the eTGS for distribution, the new eTGL electric truck targets industries like food chains, retailers, and catering. It offers excellent maneuverability with a 4.50-meter wheelbase and body lengths between 6.20 and 7.30 meters. eTGL truck can handle up to 6.6 tonnes of payload.
CEO of MAN Truck & Bus, Alexander Vlaskamp, highlighted that the eTGL electric truck completes MAN’s full-range offering in electromobility. He noted that MAN’s modular battery system is designed to meet diverse body and range needs.
Man’s eTGL electric truck has already attracted 2,000 orders and inquiries for the eTGX and eTGS models. The eTGL’s high payload capacity, quick charging time, and optimal range make it ideal for urban deliveries.

Equipped with two battery packs produced at MAN’s Nuremberg plant, the MAN eTGL electric truck has a total capacity of 160 kWh. These batteries are mounted on the sides of the truck’s frame.
The vehicle can charge from 10% to 80% in about 30 minutes using a CCS connection with up to 250 kW power. The MAN eTGL electric truck has a range of 235 kilometers, suitable for inner-city distribution. The 210 kW power output drives the rear axle through a drive shaft.
The truck’s design includes a low-entry day cab, similar to its diesel counterpart. A 12.3-inch fully digital display provides key information such as battery status, range, energy use, and recuperation.
MAN aims for 50% of its European truck sales to be electric by 2030. Through its Milence joint venture with Daimler Truck and Volvo, the company is working to build the necessary charging infrastructure and expand its service network for electric vehicles.
