FedEx Adds Electric Vehicles to NZ Fleet for Sustainable Deliveries

FedEx adds electric vehicles to NZ fleet, marking a big move toward greener and cleaner deliveries. The company has introduced 10 electric vans to serve high-traffic areas in Auckland. This step not only improves efficiency but also reduces environmental impact, showcasing FedEx’s commitment to sustainability.

The vans deployed are the LDV eDeliver 9, which can run 200 kilometers on a full charge. To support these vehicles, FedEx has installed EV charging stations at its Auckland facilities. This ensures the vans can operate seamlessly throughout the day, making them ideal for last-mile delivery operations.

Stephen William, senior manager of FedEx New Zealand operations, shared his thoughts on this milestone. “This marks a major moment for our operations in New Zealand. By adopting EVs, we reduce our environmental impact while setting a new standard for sustainable logistics,” he said.

With more consumers shopping online, many now prefer companies focused on sustainability. By adding electric vans, FedEx not only meets these expectations but also enhances its operational efficiency.
