EVIQ (Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Company) and BYD (Build Your Dreams) are teaming up to boost electric vehicle (EV) adoption in Saudi Arabia. This new partnership is set to transform the Kingdom’s transportation scene and help achieve a more sustainable future.
EVIQ, which is a joint venture between Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF) and the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC), will combine its expertise in fast-charging infrastructure with BYD’s large customer base.
The partnership began with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between EVIQ and BYD’s representative, Alfuttaim Electric Mobility. The goal is to improve the charging experience for electric car owners.
The plan includes setting up high-speed public charging stations at multiple BYD locations across Saudi Arabia. This will make it easier for BYD customers to charge their cars, ensuring that they have access to high-quality, safe, and efficient charging stations.

EVIQ is aiming to create a strong EV ecosystem in Saudi Arabia. By 2030, it plans to have more than 5,000 chargers in key locations around the Kingdom.
With the help of BYD, EVIQ hopes to make electric car ownership easier for more people. This will play a big role in the Kingdom’s push towards sustainable transportation.
By improving charging infrastructure, EVIQ and BYD hope to speed up the adoption of electric cars and help Saudi Arabia meet its environmental goals.
