Dubai has taken a giant leap towards sustainable transportation with the soft launch of the region’s first Electric Mobility Experience Center at One Central, Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). This state-of-the-art facility, developed by the electric mobility Retail as a Service (RaaS) start-up EV LAB, promises to revolutionize the UAE’s electric vehicle landscape.
HE Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, inaugurated the centre. He emphasized the UAE’s leadership in energy transition and climate-tech innovation. “EV LAB embodies our vision of creating a community of EV companies, specialists, innovators, and entrepreneurs,” Dr. Al Zeyoudi said. “It will accelerate the transition to electric mobility and help us meet our Net Zero goals.”
Guests toured the center, which serves as a hub for innovation and collaboration in electric mobility. The facility showcases a variety of electric vehicles, micro-mobility options, charging stations, solar yachts, and electric boats. Customers can explore the latest in sustainable transportation and receive genuine, impartial advice tailored to their needs.
EV LAB’s Retail as a Service (RaaS) model offers a collaborative environment for multiple businesses. The shop-in-shop concept allows customers to test drive, rent, lease, or purchase top-tier electric vehicles, micro-mobility products, chargers, and tyre solutions. The center also features electric yachts from Silent Yachts and Marian Boats, with a configuration room for customizing purchases.
Arta Faissali, General Manager at EV LAB, highlighted the benefits of the RaaS approach. “Our brand-agnostic space lets consumers discover and experience a diverse range of products,” Faissali said. “It’s the optimal approach with the surge of new electric vehicles entering the market.”
The center aims to elevate the traditional showroom experience by hosting events, workshops, and discussions on sustainable transportation. Located in the gold LEED-certified buildings of One Central, the center’s design incorporates environmentally responsible materials, emphasizing sustainability.
EV LAB’s app complements its omnichannel offering, enabling users to rent, lease, and buy or sell used electric vehicles. The app provides a seamless way to explore various electric mobility options, making sustainable mobility accessible and convenient for everyone.

- Tesla Model Y: 415-514 km range, 78.1 kWh battery, 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds.
- GMC Hummer EV SUV: 480 km range, 212 kWh battery, 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds.
