Sikkim to introduce electric vehicles under Gangtok Municipal Corporations

The electric vehicle is the future of India, and therefore the government is working hard to make people aware of it. India has already committed itself that by 2030 it will be EV ready. Therefore to attain the same Govt of Sikkim organized an awareness campaign on electric vehicles/ charging stations as “GO ELECTRIC”  under Gangtok Municipal Corporation.

As per the meeting, there will be 29 charging infrastructures for electric vehicles, and soon parking for EVs will be free with the support of GMC. Infrastructures of 40 kW is in the building frame to support the new initiative.
