The XUV400 EV from Mahindra has a pricing range of Rs 15.99 lakh to Rs 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom price). The first 5,000 units of each version are eligible for these introductory discounts. The SUV was revealed in September of last year, and while it is not the brand’s first electric product, it is the first model in its onslaught of electric vehicles, which will also comprise the XUV.e and BE ranges starting in 2024. The following colors are available for the XUV 400 electric : White, Blue, and Black with copper Finishing.

Charging Methods

A 50kW DC fast charger can charge it from 0 to 80 percent in 50 minutes. The electric SUV can also be charged from 0 to 100 percent in 13 hours with a 3.3kW AC charger or within 6 hours and 30 minutes with a 7.2kW charger.

Range

The XUV400 will be powered by a 150PS electric powertrain in both variants. The 34.5kWh battery pack is used in the EC model, whereas the larger 39.4kWh pack is used in the EL variant.  According to MIDC the former provides 375 kilometers range, while the latter provides 456 kilometers range on a full charge. The 310Nm of torque produced by the electric motor is instantaneously transmitted to the front wheels, allowing the EV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds.

These initial prices will only be available for the first 5,000 orders for both the EC and EL models, these initial prices will only be available for the first 5,000 orders. The 7.2kW charger costs Rs 50,000 more than the 3.3kW charger, which is the industry standard.

Features

The top-spec model has over-the-air (OTA) upgrades for connected car technologies, a 7.0-inch touchscreen with Mahindra’s AdrenoX software, and a single-pane sunroof. Up to six airbags are included, along with disc brakes on all four wheels, an IP67 battery pack rating, and ISOFIX anchorages as safety features. Three driving settings for the XUV400 are Fun, Fast, and Fearless, which change the steering and throttle response as well as the amount of regenerative braking.

One of the spacious cars produced in India, XUV 400 can fit persons who are 6 feet tall in the seats. The driver as well as two more passengers may sit in the front.  Additionally, it includes 60/40 changeable seats in the back with a 378 liter capacity, allowing two extra people to sit there without any luggage.

On both sides of the XUV 400, there are various types of lights : LED day and night running light, regular and projector high beam, and normal bulb indicators. It features a regular brake light, in addition to a rear bulky red whitish tail light. The standard power steering wheel on this Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV includes a leather finish, a digital speedometer, and a single paddle that is functional.
